Though the concept of these rummy variants remains the same, what set them apart is the difference in their rules. Among them, Pool Rummy is considered as one of the most exciting online variants of 13-Card rummy. To play Pool Rummy for cash, you have to pay a fixed entry fee, depending upon the table you choose.
The Gaming Rules
Pool Rummy is quite easy to understand and is preferred by those players who mostly want to indulge in extended games. In this variant of rummy, the winner of each deal has to obtain zero points to win over their opponent. Those players whose accumulated score crosses the maximum limit of 101 or 201 Pool Rummy gets eliminated. There is one element, and that is of elimination, which makes the game a lot more competitive than the other variants.
1-) To win in Pool Rummy, you must form one pure sequence (without a Joker Card) and another sequence (with or without a joker Card).
2-) The remaining cards can be used for melding into sets of 3 cards or 4 cards. You can also make straight sequences with the leftover cards.
3-) Before concluding the game, you must have 0 points. All other players will get points for the cards that they have not melded into valid sequences and/or sets.
4-) NOTE - At the end of each deal, i.e., after the game is declared, points will be calculated. A player who reaches a total score of 101 or 201 points (based on the game which is selected), they will be eliminated from the game.
Also, if any player who may have left the game earlier can re-join the game in case, no other player has scored more than 79 points.

Drop Score Calculation in Pool Rummy
While playing Pool Rummy, if you sense like your cards aren’t good enough to defeat your opponent/s, then we give you an option to make a drop. There are two kinds of drop options rummy, such as
1-) Before picking up your first card, you can make the first drop, and by exercising this drop option, you will collect 20 points for 101 PoolRummy and 25 points for 201 Pool Rummy.
2-) Even after your first turn has passed, and you suddenly realize that your cards in hands aren’t good enough to play, you can go fora middle drop. While going with this drop, you will accumulate 40 points in 101 & 50 points in 201 Pool Rummy.
